Bethulie Guest Farm, a historic South African guest house built in 1924, was designed by the celebrated architect Sir Herbert Baker for Mr. Pellesier's daughter, who belonged to one of Bethulie's founding families. The property has recently undergone a complete renovation, featuring modernized bathrooms and stylishly redesigned bedrooms while maintaining its historic charm.
The spacious accommodation offers well-appointed rooms with en-suite bathrooms, with one room specifically designed to accommodate guests with disabilities through an open-plan bathroom layout. The main guest bathroom includes a Jacuzzi bath for communal use. Each room is furnished with either a double or two single beds, with additional beds available for children. Modern amenities include flat-screen TVs with selected DStv channels, bar fridges, and coffee-making facilities.
The guest house, elegantly furnished by Riana, provides multiple living areas where guests can relax, including a main living room featuring full DStv access. The dining room, with its wooden floors and original fireplace dating back to the Pellesier family's residence, offers a perfect setting for traditional Karoo homemade meals. The establishment also welcomes small wedding celebrations, combining historical significance with modern comfort to create a homely atmosphere for all guests.
