Fernhill Tented Treehouses

The Fernhill Tented Treehouses are situated on Fernhill Guest Farm, located just outside Knysna in the beautiful area of Rheenendal. It is a 15-minute drive from Knysna and the beach at Buffalo Bay, and 20 minutes away from Sedgefield. The accommodation comprises 6 glamping tents, each with its own wooden deck offering tree views of the forest on the farm.

The tents can accommodate between 2 to 4 people and are furnished with king-size beds, as well as a sleeper couch or a bunk bed. The wood-panelled en-suite bathroom is equipped with a spa bath and an overhead shower. Electric blankets, fans, heaters, linen, and towels are provided. Each tent also includes a small kitchenette, braai, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

The 56-hectare farm offers beautiful walking trails for those who enjoy hiking. The area is popular with mountain bikers, as it forms part of the 7 Passes Route between Knysna and George. The farm is situated in a conservancy, so in addition to the farm animals, there is free-roaming wildlife such as bushbuck, bush pigs, leopards, monkeys, baboons, porcupines, and a large variety of birds.

The tents are designed for a romantic couple's getaway, with the forest setting and spa bath providing an ideal romantic setting. The open-plan tent is furnished with a king-size bed and has a full en-suite bathroom overlooking the forest. The kitchenette is fully equipped, and the tent opens onto a deck with a charcoal braai and a wood-burning firepit on the side. No pets are allowed.
