Grange Cottages

Grange Cottages are situated on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain at Grangehurst. These cosy cottages offer an ideal base for visitors to enjoy the beauty and attractions of the Cape Winelands, the False Bay coastline, and surrounding mountains. The historic town of Stellenbosch, the bustling Somerset Mall, and the village of Somerset West are all approximately 10 minutes away. The outstanding sandy beaches of The Strand and the quaint fishing and sailing port of Gordon's Bay are within 15 to 25 minutes drive from Grangehurst.

There are three self-catering cottages available for guest accommodation: Willow Cottage, Oak Cottage, and Coral Cottage. Willow Cottage has an open plan kitchen/living area and a bedroom with optional twin beds or a double bed. The living area leads onto a large veranda, where guests can enjoy views of vineyards, hills, and majestic mountains. The kitchen/dining area is well-equipped, and the bathroom has a walk-in shower and separate bath. The kitchen/living area, bedroom, and bathroom all have underfloor heating for comfort during the winter months.

Oak Cottage comprises a fully equipped kitchen, a large open plan living/dining area with a fireplace, two double bedrooms, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate bath, and another toilet/shower room. The kitchen and bathroom have underfloor heating. Outdoor entertainment options include an undercover verandah, a small leafy garden area, and an open verandah with views across vineyards towards False Bay, Cape Point, Simon's Town, Constantia, Table Mountain, Cape Town, and beyond.

Coral Cottage is double-storey with an open plan kitchen/living area and fireplace on the lower level. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and gas stove. The bedroom on the upper level has a large king-size bed, a walk-in shower, and a separate toilet. The living area leads onto an undercover veranda with a built-in braai and views across False Bay.

All cottages have WiFi, satellite TV, and access to a large swimming pool for guests to keep cool during the summer months. Grange Cottages are conveniently situated for guests to experience the interesting wineries and restaurants of the area. Nearby, there are excellent golf courses within a 10-kilometre radius, beaches for swimming or surfing, and hiking trails on mountains and through nature reserves. Guests are welcomed by the resident winemaker Jeremy Walker, his wife Mandy, and their daughters Hayley and Tarryn, who provide a warm, friendly welcome and advice on local attractions.
