Maloney's Spot

Maloney's Spot is a self-catering accommodation situated in the town of Vaal Marina, Gauteng, South Africa. It is located 400 meters away from the water's edge, bordering the banks of the Vaal River. The establishment offers an idyllic getaway for guests who enjoy water-based activities or relaxation.

The main house features four well-appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. Two bedrooms are located on the second floor, providing scenic views of the river. The third bedroom is situated on the ground floor. Additionally, there is a separate cottage on the premises, equipped with its own bathroom and kitchenette, offering a private retreat.

The open-plan living area of the main house comprises a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy lounge, and a sunny dining area. There is also a bunk bed available for extra sleeping space. The main house and cottage can comfortably accommodate 8 adults, but it can accommodate up to 10 adults and 2 children. Children under 12 years of age can sleep on sleeper couches. An additional fee of R150 per person per night is required for the accommodation of 2 extra adults.

Guests can enjoy the swimming pool on the property or explore the surrounding area, which offers numerous fishing spots within walking distance. A boat launch area is conveniently located 900 meters away, providing easy access to the house and boats. Other recreational activities in the vicinity include yachting, parasailing, and jet skiing. After a day of adventure, guests can relax in the cool comfort of the establishment and indulge in a braai (barbecue) in the spacious garden while taking in the breathtaking views of the river.

On-site parking is available, and a Full DSTV package is provided for entertainment. The property consists of one main house with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. One bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom, another room has two single beds and a double bed, and the third room has a queen-size bed. The living space includes a lounge, a dining area, a kitchen, and a bunk bed. Additionally, there is a separate flat with two queen-sized beds and a bunk bed.
