Mosetlha Bush Camp & Eco Lodge

The Mosetlha Bush Camp & Eco Lodge is situated at the heart of the Big 5, malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve. It is the only authentic bush camp and eco lodge within the entire reserve, offering an unfenced, intimate, and rustic wilderness experience and a true safari adventure at affordable rates.

The Madikwe Game Reserve features an extensive and impressive wildlife, including the Big 5, the extremely rare and endangered wild dog and cheetah, and almost any other predator one can think of. Additionally, it has a multitude of plain game and a bird list consisting of 340 species, earning it a reputation as one of the most spectacular game viewing destinations in Southern Africa. The camp is proud to be part of the important Madikwe conservation initiative and welcomes visitors to this best-kept secret - the little bush camp where one can truly experience the dust of Africa.

The camp's simplicity, with open fire cooking, no electricity, safari showers with hot water, and raised wooden cabins, allows guests to escape real life for a while and appreciate a genuine bushveld experience. Game drives are conducted twice a day through the entire reserve in open 4x4s with professional guides, providing an opportunity to enjoy the fascination of the wilderness and a true safari adventure.

The accommodation at Mosetlha Bush Camp comprises wooden cabins with partly open sides, raised about a meter off the ground. The cabins are equipped with twin beds, bedding, and towels. While the facilities are not en-suite, three toilet and shower complexes are discreetly positioned near the cabins. These are roofed timber constructions, fully surrounded by a wire mesh fence. Although there is no hot and cold running water, hot water is always available and is heated through a traditional donkey boiler, and the safari showers and toilets function extremely well.
