Otterskloof Private Game Reserve is situated on the border of the Free State and Northern Cape provinces along the Van Der Kloof Dam. The reserve encompasses 13,800 hectares of dramatic Karoo landscape and features a unique river ecosystem that is home to breeding pairs of Cape clawless otters.

The Safari Lodge at Otterskloof offers luxurious catered accommodation in a revamped farm homestead. Each room has its own separate entrance and is equipped with double or single beds, en-suite bathrooms with showers, linen and towels, complimentary toiletries, air conditioning, a safe for valuables, and a hairdryer. Rooms are serviced daily, and a laundry service is available.

Guests at Otterskloof Private Game Reserve can engage in various activities, including guided game drives, fishing (with their own gear), and exploring the reserve's 102km of roads with their own high-clearance or 4x4 vehicles. The owners, Abel and Karen Erasmus, are well-known conservationists and breeders of rare game species. Abel has a proven track record of more than 26 years as a highly respected breeder.

Otterskloof is situated 30 km from Phillipolis and can only be reached via a gravel road. The accommodation comprises two large rooms with double beds, 11 rooms with twin beds and en-suite bathrooms, as well as tea and coffee facilities. Additional beds are available. One room features a built-in fireplace, and two rooms have bathtubs. Each room has a separate entrance.
