The Little Farmhouse

This rustic farmhouse sits on a working farm just outside Stanford village. The thick-walled cottage features dark wooden beams, a spacious indoor fireplace, and modern kitchen amenities. Guests particularly enjoy the wood-fired hot tub under the stars and the friendly resident donkeys, Onkie and Penelope, who often greet visitors. Perfect for families, the property offers forest walks, cycling tracks, and a farm dam for swimming.

Local tip: Early risers can collect fresh eggs from the hens and purchase homemade preserves from the Farm Kitchen when available.

The Blue House

Located on Stanford's historic Market Square, this Victorian cottage combines country charm with modern comforts. With three bedrooms including bunk beds for children, it's ideal for two families sharing. The property features a vine-covered stoep (porch) and private garden with mature trees. A short stroll down the gravel road leads to the Klein River where guests can paddle or enjoy riverside walks.

Lagoon View

Positioned within a private estate near Hermanus, this luxurious option offers spectacular views of the Hermanus Lagoon. The property includes access to a private jetty for water activities and a crystal blue swimming pool. The large entertaining deck is perfect for summer braais (barbecues) while watching yachts sail by.

Activities in the Area

  • Mountain biking and hiking trails through fynbos-covered landscapes
  • Kayaking and river cruises on the Klein River
  • Bird watching (the area is known for its diverse species)
  • Wine tasting at local vineyards producing quality Overberg wines
