Pleasure Bay Resort

Pleasure Bay Resort is a seaside destination located on Paindane Beach in Inhambane Province, Mozambique, approximately 30 kilometers south of Inhambane and 485 kilometers north of Maputo. The resort sits atop dunes overlooking the Baia Das Correntes (Bay of Currents) and Lighthouse Reef, offering spectacular ocean views.

The property features various self-catering accommodation options, including 8-sleeper, 4-sleeper, and 2-sleeper units, all fully equipped with bedding and cutlery. An in-house restaurant and bar operates during season, serving local seafood, steaks, and burgers, while a swimming pool provides additional leisure facilities.

The resort offers numerous activities for visitors, including deep sea angling, fly-fishing, rock and surf fishing, scuba diving, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, ocean safaris, whale watching, and beach walks. A dedicated dive center operated by Paindane Dive Charters is available on-site.

Access to the resort is primarily via road, with most routes recently upgraded to South African standards. The final 4 kilometers requires 4x4 transport, though arrangements can be made for guests with standard vehicles. Alternatively, visitors can fly directly from Johannesburg (O.R. Tambo) to Inhambane via LAM airlines, with resort transfer services available upon request.

The resort maintains strict environmental policies, including restrictions on beach driving and the use of quad bikes or motorcycles on Mozambican beaches. However, visitors with 4x4 vehicles are permitted to launch boats, canoes, and kayaks from the protected bay area.
