West Coast Family Entertainment Hub

Sunnypark Fun Park stands as the largest water entertainment venue on the West Coast, offering year-round family fun with heated pools that maintain temperatures between 27-35°C depending on the facility. The park operates every weekend and throughout all school holidays, making it a reliable option for families looking for entertainment in Langebaan.

Activities and Facilities

The park features five different water attractions, each catering to different age groups:

  • The Super Tube - the West Coast's largest waterslide (55m long)
  • A Big Swimming Pool (heated to 31¬∞C) with adjacent braai spots
  • A Slip 'n Slide pool with mini waterslide for children between 1m and 1.5m in height
  • A Splash Pool specially designed for children 0-6 years with warm 30¬∞C water and interactive features
  • An Indoor Heated Pool - essentially a large 20m¬≤ jacuzzi maintained at 35¬∞C

Beyond water activities, visitors can enjoy:

  • Trampolines in the "Jump Arena"
  • 9-hole mini golf course
  • Pedal karts for racing
  • Paintball target shooting
  • Pool tables
  • Children's playground area

Practical Tips

Locals recommend purchasing the Day Pass (R190) for unlimited access to most activities rather than paying per activity. For families planning multiple visits, the Year Pass (R900) offers excellent value. Arrive early on weekends and during school holidays as braai spots are limited and fill up quickly.

The park allows visitors to bring their own food and drinks for braai, with wood, charcoal, and ice available for purchase on-site. For those not wanting to braai, there's a kiosk selling burgers, chip rolls and other snacks.

Party Venue

Sunnypark excels as a children's party venue with affordable packages starting at R150 per child for weekend parties (minimum 10 children). Weekday parties (Monday-Friday outside school holidays) are even more economical at R1000 for up to 20 children. All party bookings include a dedicated area with picnic benches, braai facilities, and access to a fridge.

When to Visit

The best times to visit are weekday mornings when the park is less crowded. School holidays naturally attract larger crowds, particularly during December/January. Even during winter (May-September), the heated pools remain operational, though the Super Tube may not be available during these months.

All visitors must sign a waiver upon entry, and parents must sign for minors. Proper supervision of children is expected at all times, as the park staff do not assume responsibility for childcare.
