The Bush House

The Bush House is a game lodge situated in the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve. It was formerly an old farmhouse that underwent transformation to become an inviting and relaxing residence for guests. The lodge encourages visitors to unwind and enjoy their surroundings.

The Bush House offers five en-suite rooms, each tastefully furnished and equipped with amenities such as air-conditioning, fans, hairdryers, coffee and tea facilities, and percale linen. The en-suite bathrooms feature separate showers and baths, with toiletries provided.

The chefs at The Bush House create a culinary repertoire for guests, including breakfast in the garden, afternoon tea with treats, and fire-lit dinners in the boma. Guests can relax in the shaded garden overlooking a waterhole or lounge by the pool and observe the game animals coming to drink.

The lodge features a new underground hide, allowing guests to view and photograph animals and birds up close as they come to the waterhole. Two game drives are conducted daily under the guidance of fully qualified field guides.

The Bush House welcomes children of all ages. Children under six years old are not permitted on the adult game drives, but a shortened version called the "Kiddies Bumble" is offered for younger guests. One of the suites includes a king-size bed and can accommodate an additional single bed or cot upon request. It has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower, as well as tea and coffee facilities, a desk, Wi-Fi, and a patio.
