The Lancaster

The Lancaster is a lodging establishment situated in a leafy green suburb of Johannesburg. The Oak Room, one of the accommodation options, is a spacious, bright, and airy split-level apartment that is larger than most. It features a full kitchen, but guests have the option of dining at nearby amazing restaurants or requesting breakfast. The Oak Room can accommodate a child on a daybed and a baby in a camp cot.

The property also offers an en-suite room called the Jacaranda room, which does not have a kitchen, but breakfast can be requested. Both accommodations are equipped with air conditioning to combat the warm South African weather. Guests can enjoy the lovely big garden and amazing birdlife, ensuring a relaxing atmosphere for business trips.

The Oak Room features a luxurious king-sized bed for couples, which can be converted into two single beds if desired. For families, the daybed can be converted into a bed for one child, and a pull-out bed for another child is available upon request. A cot is also available on request. Guests are welcome to use the pool, garden, and braai facilities.

The Lancaster is conveniently located between Sandton City and Rosebank, approximately 10 minutes away, and 20 minutes from the old CBD in town. It offers easy access to Hyde Park and Randburg. Amazing restaurants are within walking distance, and Delta park is just 500 meters away for those who enjoy walking. The quiet suburb, surrounded by huge oak trees and birdlife, creates a serene environment that belies its location in Johannesburg. Uber services are readily available, and the Gautrain stations in Rosebank or Sandton are a 10-minute drive away. Guests often walk to nearby coffee shops or restaurants.

The Jacaranda room is a light and airy accommodation option with large glass doors. It features a comfortable queen-size bed and luxurious linens to ensure a good night's rest. A camp cot for an infant is available upon request. This room does not have a kitchen.
