The Mountain House is a uniquely designed accommodation situated on the slopes of Trappieskop mountain. It overlooks Fish Hoek beach and the Silvermine Wetland Reserve, offering spectacular views. The house is designed to provide a comfortable home-like experience while allowing guests to enjoy the rich diversity of the local fauna and flora, as well as a wide range of social and extra-mural activities in the surrounding area.

The Mountain House can comfortably accommodate two to four people. It features a bedroom with a queen-size bed and cotton percale linen, ample cupboard space with a dressing table, and an en-suite bathroom with a large shower and double vanity. The living area is spacious and light-filled, with clerestory windows bringing in views of the mountain behind. Two custom-made daybeds in the living area can be used as either two single beds or a double bed.

The well-equipped kitchenette includes a fridge, microwave/convection oven, gas hob, and state-of-the-art appliances. The living area seamlessly flows onto a magnificent balau deck with 360-degree views. The house also offers a TV with DVD player, an optional 24-hour ADSL connection, an alarm system, a small safe, a braai facility in a private landscaped indigenous garden, off-street parking, a separate private entrance, underfloor heating, and twice-weekly servicing included (daily servicing can be arranged).

Built with environmental sensitivity, The Mountain House features a rainwater collection system and solar water heating. The main bedroom with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom is included in the accommodation. An additional second bedroom with two single beds and an en-suite bathroom is available as an optional extra, charged additionally.
