The Woodpecker Inn

The Woodpecker Inn is an affordable yet luxurious guest house situated in the prestigious Woodhill residential and golfing estate. It is located approximately 50 meters from the clubhouse, on the 18th fairway, overlooking the 9th and 18th green, with its two dams where ducks and geese frolic in the water, while an abundance of birds can be observed.

The guest house is ideal for business executives, offering home-away-from-home comforts and conveniences. The accommodation is strategically placed on a golfing estate, where security is of the highest standard. All bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms fitted with black and yellow wood furniture, TVs, DVD players, bar refrigerators, air-conditioners, and Wi-Fi access. Additionally, there is a surround sound system in the lounge area, which includes a cozy bar that creates a wonderful atmosphere.

Sumptuous breakfasts are served in the spacious dining area, and other home-cooked meals are available by arrangement. The Woodpecker Inn is in close proximity to the OR Tambo International Airport, while other excellent golf courses in and around Pretoria are accessible to guests. The Gary Player and Lost City golf courses, as well as the Pilansberg Game Reserve, are approximately an hour and a half drive away.

The course played host to the 2001 PGA Championship and certainly provided a decent challenge for the professionals. Lush fairways give way to expansive greens, but not without costing wayward shots.
