Local Tips

Arrive early during peak season (December-January) to secure parking and a good spot. The beach is notably less crowded than nearby Grotto Beach, making it a lekker option for families with young children. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leashes.

Water temperatures can be surprisingly cold (sometimes dropping to 9°C), and the beach can experience strong backwash, so always swim between the lifeguard flags. The beach is partially sheltered from wind, making it a good choice on breezy days.
