Wild Hare Cottages offers self-catering cottages situated above the Lions River on the Midlands Meander. The cottages are located in close proximity to various attractions, such as the Nelson Mandela Capture Site, Abingdon Wine Estate, and the Piggly Wiggly Country Village, which are all within a five-minute drive.

The cottages feature an open plan layout with a lounge, dining room, and kitchen area. Each cottage has a bedroom en-suite with a shower and toilet. They are well-equipped and have individual cottage and shared large lawn areas. A path allows for a 20-minute walk through trees and veld grass. Amenities include Wi-Fi, DStv, pet-friendly accommodations, and a braai area.

The cottages are situated in a convenient location, offering easy access to popular attractions like the Karkloof forest, mountain biking trails, restaurants, and wedding venues. Nearby, visitors can explore the Nelson Mandela Capture Site museum and arts and crafts center, as well as the Abingdon Wine Estate, a boutique wine producer.

Three of the cottages can accommodate up to six guests, with a sleeper couch available for an additional person in each cottage. The fourth cottage can sleep four guests. The cottages are well-suited for couples, offering cozy and snug accommodations with wood-burning fireplaces, soft blankets, and essential kitchen facilities. Outdoor spaces include patios, and the area is home to various wildlife, such as buck, nightjars, and a starry night sky.

The cottages are located within close proximity to several golf courses, including Bosch Hoek Golf Club (13 minutes), Gowrie Farm Golf Course near Nottingham Road (23 minutes by car), Maritzburg Golf Club (30 minutes), and Sakabula Golf Course near Howick (17 minutes).

The Bushbuck Blue cottage is suitable for four guests, featuring a spacious main bedroom with an en-suite shower bathroom, an open-plan L-shaped kitchen, dining, and living area. It also has a loft accessed by an open staircase, which contains two 3/4 comfy beds and a small shower, toilet, and basin area with a view of the Midlands landscape. However, the staircase is not suitable for small children or individuals with mobility issues.
