1 Marichel is a large, ground floor apartment that overlooks Thompson's Bay Beach of Shaka's Rock. It is situated close to the King Shaka International Airport. The apartment has four bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning. There is a separate TV lounge with full DStv, a DVD player with surround sound, and a spacious, open-plan kitchen that is fully equipped. The kitchen opens into a dining area with a 12-seater dining table and the main lounge, which features a bar area and another TV. The main lounge leads out onto a large veranda with a lounge suite and a lovely garden and braai area.

During the season, guests can watch whales and dolphins swim by from the apartment. The beach is accessible via a locked gate on the property, and there is a communal swimming pool within the complex. All linens, bath towels, beach towels, and other beach accessories are provided. The apartment is serviced daily, except on Sundays and public holidays.
