The 3 Darling Street Guest House is a typical Karoo Victorian House which was declared a National Monument in the mid-nineties. It has several en-suite rooms that are decorated in traditional style with antique furniture and works of art including period tapestries. The guest house offers log fires in winter, making a stay over in Hanover comfortable and relaxing. It grows its own fruit and vegetables and is known for the quality of its meals and service.

The guest house has a well-established garden with ample shade from ancient trees, making it a delight in summer. Opposite the main house, there is a Victorian cottage with all en-suite rooms and a restaurant that has a country house feel and serves superb food. The guest house is blessed with wonderful staff who take an interest in the guests' needs, and the cooks Maricelle and Ruanda take great care to ensure that every meal is a delight.
