The property known as '40 On Longmarket' is a Stanford cottage that has undergone a sensitive renovation to restore its original exterior charm. The interior has been transformed into a bright and airy space with a double-volume ceiling and an open plan layout.

The cottage features a queen-sized bed with extra length, positioned on one side of the room, accompanied by an en-suite bathroom. Ample hanging and drawer space is provided, along with a built-in power bank for electrical devices. The bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower with a luxurious shower head, ample storage space for personal belongings, and a large mirror above the basin. The linens used in the cottage are of excellent quality, with high thread count sheets and thick towels.

The central seating area is furnished with cozy, over-stuffed Art Deco chairs, and a woodburning stove adds warmth and comfort on chilly nights. The dining area features a table crafted from recycled wood, glass, and steel, accompanied by four incredibly comfortable leather chairs, inviting guests to linger and enjoy extended meals together.

The well-appointed kitchen, despite its small size, is equipped with a Smeg gas/electric stove and a fridge/freezer. All necessary appliances and utensils, including a microwave, are provided for the convenience of guests.

Sliding doors lead out to a covered veranda that overlooks a beautiful indigenous garden, a calming water feature, and breathtaking mountain views. Handcrafted Adirondack chairs offer comfortable outdoor seating, and a built-in braai is available for outdoor cooking. Additionally, a cottage garden has been planted with herbs for guests to enjoy.
