The 5 Pelican Place is a beach-side property that consists of two separate accommodation units: a two-bedroom, two-bathroom Pelican Beach Apartment and a Balau Beach Studio. The Pelican Beach Apartment is suitable for up to four guests, including children. It has a generous main en-suite bedroom with a king-size bed and direct access to the garden, a second bedroom with twin beds, two full bathrooms (though bath plugs have been removed due to severe water restrictions), and a sleeper couch in the alcove set back from the lounge, which is ideal for kids primarily due to lack of privacy.

The apartment features a large, open-plan kitchen, lounge, and dining room that lead into a secure garden with Oregon pine furniture and a large trampoline. While sea views are limited, secure off-street parking is available for two small cars, although parking on the verge is recommended during the day to maximize sea view and space. The apartment is fully equipped with basic amenities such as Satellite TV, a music system, DVD player, washing machine (only for guests staying four nights or more due to ongoing water restrictions), dishwasher, coffee percolator, microwave oven, stove, and refrigerator. Bath towels and bed linen are included, but guests are required to bring their own beach towels.

The Balau Beach Studio, located on the same property, is a quaint and cozy unit suitable for two easy-going travelers. It has no views but is only a minute's walk from the beach. The studio features a double bedroom with French doors leading to a small courtyard area with a breakfast table and barbecue facilities (no BBQ permitted on windy days). It has an open-plan lounge and kitchenette, as well as a newly renovated bathroom with a shower. Cupboard space is limited, so guests are advised to pack lightly. The studio is equipped with linen, bath towels, a DVD player, and TV (Open View TV). Secure, undercover parking is available for one car.

Both apartments are part of the same property and are within a minute's walk from the beach. No roads need to be crossed, as the main house is flanked by three cul-de-sacs, making it safe and uncomplicated to access the beach. Amenities such as a camp cot (at no extra cost), sun umbrella, buckets, beach toys, board games, and books are provided. The trampoline in the garden is available for guests to enjoy, offering a relaxing space to read under the trees or hop on and have fun.
