9 Umlilo Lodge is located in St Lucia, surrounded by the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, which is South Africa's first National World Heritage Site. The nearby Lake St Lucia is a large estuarine lake abundant with hippos, crocodiles, fish, and hundreds of bird species. The area comprises rivers, lakes, marshes, mangrove swamps, and huge sand dunes, with beautiful unspoiled beaches. The lodge is also within walking distance of all the restaurants and shops in town.

The lodge features 13 air-conditioned bedrooms with Smart TVs, Netflix access, bar fridges, and en-suite bathrooms with baths and showers. Guests can relax on the wooden deck by the pool or in the bar lounge, which is surrounded by a fishpond and offers full DSTV access.
