A Farm Story Country House was established from a tradition that believes a story resonates with the soul and the heart. In 2008, history and fond memories were transformed into a country house. Guests are invited to experience an old Farmhouse Story.

Historically, the Country House was originally known as Oom Tom se huis. It was established in the early 1800s on the farm Klein Soebattersvlakte. During the most southern battle of the Anglo-Boer War in 1901, the stables were utilized as a hospital. The first gravel road between Riversdale and Stilbaai was constructed on the farm and remains in use today. The famously known store Oom Boet se Winkel was the only general dealer in the 1900s.

Currently, the establishment offers accommodation in a traditional style with hospitality reminiscent of yesteryear. Braai facilities are available. Guided tours to the cheese factory on the farm, including cheese tasting, are offered.

A Farm Story Country House is a historic country house situated on a dairy farm.
