A La Maison

A La Maison is a luxurious guesthouse that combines old-world Victorian charm with modern comfort and convenience. It features Victorian-style furniture and decorations. The house was built in 1913, making it one of the first structures constructed during the rebuilding of Parys after the Anglo Boer War from 1889 to 1902, which left most of the town's buildings destroyed.

The town of Parys traces its origins back approximately 2000 million years ago when a giant meteorite struck the earth southeast of Vredefort in the Free State Province. The impact created the Vredefort Dome, the oldest and largest meteorite impact site on Earth, measuring about 200 km in diameter.

Centrally located in Parys, A La Maison is within easy walking distance of all the main attractions, shops, pubs, and restaurants. In addition to exploring the town's sights and sounds, guests can choose from a variety of activity packages, ranging from hiking and game drives to abseiling and river rafting. The guesthouse offers exclusive Victorian and/or French Romantic Rooms with en-suite bathrooms featuring Victorian charm with open-plan bathrooms, doors to private gardens, and accommodations for a maximum of two people. Breakfast is available upon request, and rooms are equipped with baths, showers, facilities, and electric blankets.
