A La Maison

A La Maison is a distinguished guesthouse that seamlessly merges Victorian elegance with contemporary amenities. Constructed in 1913, it stands as one of the pioneering buildings erected during Parys's reconstruction following the Anglo Boer War (1889-1902), which had largely devastated the town's infrastructure.

The property offers a peaceful retreat featuring secluded gardens, riverside walks, and cozy fireplaces. Located in the heart of Parys, the guesthouse provides convenient access to local attractions, shops, pubs, and restaurants. The surrounding area is notable for the Vredefort Dome, Earth's oldest and largest meteorite impact site, spanning approximately 200 km in diameter and dating back roughly 2000 million years.

The guesthouse features five uniquely appointed rooms: Tessera, Lavender, Rose, Magnolia, and Lily. Each room showcases either Victorian or French Romantic styling and accommodates up to two guests. The rooms are equipped with modern amenities including en-suite bathrooms, electric blankets, and private outdoor spaces. Some rooms feature open-plan bathrooms, while others offer standalone baths and private gardens. Additional amenities include coffee stations, braai areas, and fully equipped bathrooms.
