Aan De Bergen

Aan De Bergen is a guesthouse located in the town of Swellendam. It has been owned by the Viljoen family for two generations and is situated on the grounds of Rooiklip Garden Centre, their rare plant nursery. The property features beautiful mountain views, flowers, and cycads throughout, making it a true gem.

Aan De Bergen ensures a pleasant stay for guests by meeting their needs, offering superb facilities, and providing good services. The accommodation comprises four luxury bedrooms and two self-catering units. All guest house rooms feature en-suite bathrooms and a private entrance.

The Aloe Room has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. The Cycad Room is equipped with two three-quarter beds, an additional single bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, making it ideal for a traveling family. The Clivia Room is perfect for single travelers and has one single bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The Violet Room is located on the top floor and contains two single beds, an en-suite bathroom with a bath, and a private shower.

The main house has a shared lounge area, a communal kitchen, and a dining room where daily breakfast is served. The Protea and Pincushion rooms are self-catering units equipped with private kitchens and bathrooms. All rooms have DSTV, flat-screen televisions, coffee/tea stations, hairdryers, electric blankets, fans, and complimentary toiletries.

The guesthouse is on the same property as Rooiklip Garden Centre, Beleef coffee shop, and a gift shop. Guests are welcome to stroll through the beautiful exhibition gardens, exhibition center, gift shop, and decadent coffee shop, where locally brewed coffee in all its forms is served with amazing cakes and other meals.

The guesthouse is close to attractions such as Marloth Nature Reserve, Bontebok National Park, Swellendam Golf Course, Wildebraam Berry Estate, and The Fairy Sanctuary.
