Acacia Bush Lodge, formerly known as Torwood, is a 26-bed bush camp located approximately 10 minutes away from the central business district of Pietermaritzburg and the Liberty Mall. The lodge offers comfortable accommodation in six three-bedded and two four-bedded air-conditioned cottages.

Each cottage is fully equipped with high-quality appliances, including a stove, microwave, fridge, and a full range of quality cooking utensils and crockery. All linen is provided, and guests are only required to bring their food. TV SABC is offered, and each cottage also features a private veranda and its own braai facilities. Alternatively, guests can enjoy picnicking in the shade around the unique rock swimming pool.

Acacia Bush Lodge offers the option of continental breakfasts delivered to the cottages, and each cottage is fully serviced, except on Sundays. The lodge provides secure, shady parking, and guests can participate in bird walks over the 9ha property. Firelighters, firewood, and cool drinks are available during office hours. A variety of games, including Volleyball, cricket, swing ball, and board games, are also available for guests to enjoy.

The lodge caters well for large groups as well as individual travelers seeking peace and quiet, offering substantial discounts for group bookings. The lodge is owned by Graham Crowie and Erica Abrahams and can accommodate up to 350 people, providing a fully coordinated service.
