Adley House was constructed in 1905 by Sidney Herbert Adley during the Ostrich Feather Boom period. This magnificent Victorian home was bequeathed in 1948 to the orphans of the Second World War. Mr and Mrs Macmoran cared for 16 Polish orphans until they completed high school in the early 1960s, after which the property was sold.
The current owners acquired the property in 1989 and undertook the arduous task of restoration. In 1994, Hilda initiated a bed and breakfast establishment, which has since evolved into a true guest house offering a retreat for visitors to enjoy.
Each en-suite room features a bath or shower. All rooms are equipped with modern individual remote-controlled air conditioning, DStv, telephone, coffee/tea-making facilities, mini-bar, hairdryer, and bath accessories.
