Aeroden Lodge

Aeroden Lodge is situated on the eastern side of the Hartbeespoort Dam, surrounded by the Magaliesberg Mountain range and a short distance from the major towns of Gauteng. It is an ideal weekend getaway destination. The lodge offers nine en-suite rooms with a choice of twin, double, or king-size beds. Each room is equipped with coffee and tea-making facilities, a fridge, DStv, and air-conditioning. The rooms are situated next to a heated swimming pool in a secluded garden area.

Guests are invited to bring their own picnic baskets and use the communal barbecue area, which is situated next to an outside lapa with plenty of seating. The lodge also offers various self-catering units, each with a fully equipped kitchen and private barbecue facilities. Additionally, there are six large camping sites, each separated by wooden poles for privacy. The sites have their own ablution facilities with a shower, toilet, and an outside tiled wash basin, overlooking a large swimming pool and water slide.

The lodge is well-secured with a remote-controlled gate and night guard patrol. Facilities include a small heated swimming pool, a large cold swimming pool with a water slide, and a fully stocked bar with a big-screen TV. There is a sun deck overlooking the swimming pool and a large lapa for shade in the hot afternoons. Mountain trails up the mountain provide lovely views of the area and opportunities to spot wild game. There is also a dam for catch-and-release fishing.

The area features several golf courses, including Pecanwood, Seasons, Sandy Lane, Magaliespark, Mooinooi, and Brits. The lodge is just 5 km from Miracle Waters for scuba divers. Hartbeespoort is a brilliant recreational area with an aquarium, zoo, snake park, animal sanctuaries, party boat charters, canopy tours, and colorful craft markets.

The venue has access control and large amounts of space for kids to ride bicycles, play games, and walk around. It offers a warm water swimming pool, a cold pool with a water slide, and a playground with a trampoline. There is no lifeguard on duty. Double rooms come with air-conditioning, DStv, and a bar fridge, and each room has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The rooms are not equipped for self-catering but have access to the communal braai area.
