Affi Lande Guestfarm & Wedding Venue

Affi Lande Guestfarm & Wedding Venue is a sandstone mountain retreat located in the spectacular Eastern Free State, surrounded by the magnificent Witteberg Mountains, Rooiberg Mountains, and the Maluti Mountains. It is situated 5 km from the town of Fouriesburg, 35 km from Clarens, and 10 km from the Caledon borderpost to Lesotho.

The guestfarm offers three fully equipped self-catering chalets, each featuring a kitchen, a large patio, a built-in sandstone braai and fireplace, daybeds, and quality tables and chairs. Each chalet has two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, queen-size beds with Egyptian cotton linens, and down feather duvets and pillows. The kitchens are equipped with a stove with an oven, a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, and cutlery and crockery.

The Hartbeeshuisie unit is not self-catering but offers tea and coffee-making facilities and a big private boma. Morung, meaning "in the bush" in Sotho, is the luxury bush wood cabin on the property. Attention to detail is evident throughout the guestfarm, with guests receiving chocolates, flowers on their pillows, freshly baked rusks, and coffee and tea-making facilities in their chalets.

Guests can enjoy various activities on the property, such as taking a stroll on the footpath through the pine woods to the Rebel memorial, going for a mountain bike ride on the trail, booking a trip to the water tunnels, or going on a picnic on the mountain (during summer and weather permitting). Fishing is available at the dam, and there is a "Belofte bos" bush church under 100-year-old acorn trees. Nearby attractions include a 4x4 and horse riding trail, a fairytale castle, a dinosaur route with footprints caught in sandstone, and the AfriSki resort for snow activities. The Caledonspoort border post to Lesotho is 8 km away.
