Africa Lodge is situated in the heart of the Cape Winelands at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain. The lodge offers comfortable and stylish accommodation with a beautiful setting that includes a private and secure swimming pool and garden, as well as off-road parking. The surrounding area of Somerset West has many excellent restaurants.

All rooms at Africa Lodge are African-styled with thatched roofs, equipped with amenities such as tea and coffee-making facilities, mini safes, hairdryers, and TVs. A refrigerator is available upon request. Guests can enjoy a full Continental breakfast either al fresco or in the breakfast room. The hosts are available to assist with arranging bookings for restaurants and tours.

The lodge features four en-suite cottages with verandahs and direct access to the lush garden. Additionally, there is a Honeymoon/Family Room with an en-suite bathroom, a private terrace, and separate access.

Surrounded by famous wine estates, Somerset West serves as an ideal base for exploring the Cape Peninsula, including attractions such as Cape Town's V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Robben Island, the Cape of Good Hope, and the penguin colony in Simon's Town. Nearby wine estates in Somerset West, Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Franschhoek offer excellent wine tasting experiences.

Guests can enjoy various activities in the surrounding areas, including golfing, mountain biking, riding, fly fishing, surfing, shark diving, hiking, and abseiling. Several golf courses and scenic beaches at Strand and Gordon's Bay are within easy reach, as well as the Garden Route and Whale Route.

The lodge also offers a luxurious apartment with a private deck at the poolside. This apartment is equipped with a king-size bed on the mezzanine, a bathroom, a kitchen, a sitting area with a fireplace, a wardrobe, and a Smart TV.
