Africa On Foot

Africa on Foot is an intimate safari destination nestled in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger area. The camp has earned recognition for its guided walking safaris and game drives, offering visitors an authentic Big 5 safari experience in an exclusive setting.

The accommodation consists of five brick and thatch chalets decorated with rustic furnishings and colors inspired by the natural surroundings. Each chalet features mosquito nets, showers, and standing fans. A unique treehouse accommodation is also available for guests seeking a more adventurous experience.

The camp's facilities include a welcoming bar connected to a communal dining area, an outdoor boma, and two splash pools complete with decking and sun loungers. The atmosphere is deliberately casual and focused on fostering connections between guests while embracing the natural environment.

Located within a 13,000-hectare traverse area, Africa on Foot shares unfenced borders with Kruger National Park and neighboring private reserves including Thornybush, Timbavati, and Balule Nature Reserve. This allows for free movement of wildlife throughout the area. The camp is accessible via Hoedspruit/Eastgate airport, which is approximately 40 minutes away, with connecting flights available from major South African cities.

Professional guides and trackers lead morning bush walks and evening game drives throughout the extensive property. Alternative game drives are arranged when weather conditions are unsuitable for walks, ensuring guests always enjoy two daily activities. The camp's location near Hoedspruit, the Greater Kruger's supply hub, provides convenient access while maintaining its wilderness setting.
