Africamps Addo

AfriCamps Addo is a boutique glamping destination situated at the foothills of the Zuurberg Mountains in South Africa's Eastern Cape. The property features eight fully equipped luxury tents overlooking forested hills and gorges on the Hayterdale Trails property.

The location offers guests immediate access to 50 kilometers of mountain biking, trail running, and hiking routes through Yellowwood forests and valley bushveld terrain. The surrounding conservancy is home to diverse wildlife including over 160 bird species, sable, and nyala. The renowned Addo Elephant National Park, featuring the Big 5, is just 10 kilometers away.

Each tent features a spacious L-shaped deck and innovative design with five canvas panels that maximize views of the natural surroundings. The accommodations include indoor fireplaces, comfortable bedrooms, outdoor braai facilities, and private wood-fired hot tubs. The tents are fully equipped for self-catering with modern amenities and can accommodate up to five guests.

The property offers numerous activities including mountain biking trails of varying difficulty, guided hiking, bird watching, and access to the Hayterdale Clubhouse for events. Additional nearby attractions include sandboarding at Alexandria Coastal Dunes, boat trips on the Sundays River, fishing opportunities, and adventure activities like the Giant Swing and zip lining.
