Africamps At Doolhof

AfriCamps at Doolhof offers a luxurious glamping experience in the heart of South Africa's Cape Winelands, located on the award-winning Doolhof Wine Estate near Wellington and just 50 minutes from Cape Town.

The property features 16 boutique glamping tents positioned beneath the historic Bainskloof Pass at the foot of the Groenberg Mountain Range. Six tents overlook a tranquil meadow alongside the Kromme River, while ten hillside tents provide stunning mountain vistas. Each fully-equipped tent includes two bedrooms with queen-size beds, a single bunk bed, en-suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, indoor fireplace, air conditioning, and a private outdoor wood-fired hot tub.

Guests can enjoy numerous on-site activities including a 5km vineyard hike, river walks, mountain biking trails, wine tasting, and spa treatments. The estate's tasting room offers complimentary wine sampling of their award-winning varieties including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and several red varietals. The on-site Mila Restaurant, housed in a 19th century wagon house, provides elegant dining options.

The surrounding area offers additional attractions such as hiking trails in the Limietberg Nature Reserve, horse riding, golf courses, and tours of neighboring Wellington wine farms and distilleries. The property also features a kids' play area, labyrinth, and picnic facilities.

The camp is managed by the Doolhof team, who provide warm hospitality and assistance throughout guests' stays. Meal options include breakfast baskets and traditional South African braai (barbecue) baskets delivered directly to the tents. The property operates with backup power during load shedding to ensure uninterrupted guest comfort.
