African Elephant's Den

The African Elephant's Den, formerly known as 'A New Dawn,' is an establishment that provides a serene environment where guests can unwind and escape from the hustle of daily life. The property features a tranquil garden adorned with abundant birdlife and soothing water features, allowing visitors to enjoy their beverages in a peaceful setting.

The accommodation offers a variety of room options. The Matriarch rooms, one with an en-suite spa bath and the other with an en-suite shower, are situated within the main house and are ideal for female guests. The Dwarf Elephant Rooms comprises three twin beds, while the Bull Elephant room is a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Additionally, The Herd is a two-bedroom flat with an extra bed and bathroom. Each room is equipped with a TV and an OVHD decoder, and guests are welcome to bring their personal decoders. The flat includes a standard premium DStv Package.

All units have private entrances, and a braai area is available for guests to utilize. Meals, including traditional Pap and Kaiings, can be provided upon request. The guesthouse is located 10 kilometers away from the Klerksdorp CBD, which has a well-established airfield where national air shows are held. Klerksdorp offers a range of attractions and amenities, such as a casino, the Barnyard Theatre, game reserves, lion farms, museums, heritage sites, cinemas, shopping centers, restaurants, sports facilities, and golf clubs.

Shuttle services are available from the guesthouse to O.R. Tambo airport. The establishment is suitable for families with children, couples, or single individuals. Guests have the option of self-catering by utilizing the outdoor cooking and braai facilities. Each room includes an en-suite shower and toilet, tea and coffee tray, bar fridge, microwave, OVHD TV, and Wi-Fi access.
