African Game Lodge

African Game Lodge is an eco-friendly retreat situated in the Little Karoo region of South Africa's Western Cape, approximately 2.5 hours from Cape Town along Route 62 near the town of Montagu. The lodge is positioned within a 4500-hectare private game reserve, surrounded by the magnificent Langeberg Mountains.

Operating entirely off-grid with solar power, the lodge offers a genuine escape from modern distractions while maintaining comfortable amenities. The property features various accommodation options, including spacious chalets, luxury tents, and campsite facilities. The chalets are equipped with 12-volt electrical systems and include fully-furnished living spaces with fireplaces, kitchen facilities, and private verandahs with braai (barbecue) areas. Luxury tents provide a romantic alternative with queen-size beds, solar lighting, and private boma areas.

The lodge offers numerous activities for guests, including guided game drives to observe the reserve's variety of antelope species, hiking trails, and mountain biking opportunities. The property also features a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, though self-catering is available. A communal lounge area provides Wi-Fi and satellite TV access.
