The Akademie Street Boutique Hotel is a five-star accommodation located in Franschhoek, in the heart of the Cape Winelands. It offers luxury suites in five unique buildings situated on the same beautiful property in a quiet area of the village. The hotel is family-owned and managed, providing personalized service.

The hotel has three large, modern suites in a garden setting, which share a large solar-heated pool. Additionally, there are three unique, private buildings, each with its own entrance from the road, private garden, and private pool.

The main building, Twyfeling (Doubting), is a gracious Cape Dutch-style house with a large living room, a library, and the reception and breakfast areas for all guests. It houses three large, private bedroom suites at opposite ends of the house, each sleeping two guests and being completely self-contained.

Uitsig (View) is a spacious and airy superior suite located on the upper floor of one of the hotel's main buildings. It sleeps two guests and features a private first-floor terrace with views of the nearby Franschhoek mountains. The suite is refined yet indulgent, with a sumptuous extra-length king-size bed, a decadent marble bathroom, and underfloor heating.

Gelatenheid A and Gelatenheid B are two deluxe suites located in the Cape Dutch-style cottage, the largest cottage on the property. Gelatenheid A is a plush one-bedroom suite on the first floor, complete with a separate dressing room, a luxurious free-standing bath, a private sun-drenched balcony with an outdoor fireplace and wood-burning hot tub. Gelatenheid B is a charming suite with a bedroom, living and dining areas, an outdoor fireplace, and a private wood-burning hot tub.

Oortuiging A and Oortuiging B are two grand deluxe suites situated in the historic Oortuiging cottage, built in 1865. The suites are decorated in a "campaign style" with antique furniture, wood-burning stoves, and free-standing copper baths. They also feature private wood-burning hot tubs and access to a courtyard and private pool.

Vreugde (Joy) is the signature cottage, offering a generous and luxurious space solely for the private use of guests. The cottage includes a bedroom, living space, a luxurious bathroom with a free-standing brass bath, a wood-burning stove, underfloor heating, a private garden with a Moroccan mosaic plunge pool, a wood-burning hot tub, and an outdoor shower.

The hotel offers a retreat where guests can stroll to the village center and its famous restaurants, with historic wine farms in close proximity.
