Alkmaar Farmstay

Alkmaar Farmstay is located in the heart of the Lowveld, in the Schagen Valley on the Maputo Corridor, 10 minutes away from Nelspruit. The tranquil homestead and chalet belong to the well-travelled Johann and Wanda Sippel. It is in close proximity to the Kruger National Park and is perfectly situated for exploring the Lowveld tourist attractions such as Blyde River Canyon, Pilgrim's Rest, and the Sudwala Caves.

Alkmaar Farmstay offers self-catering units with the option of bed and breakfast upon request. The Bush Camp provides tented units with bedding, reserved for private groups with a minimum of four guests. There is a lapa function room, and the bathroom facilities for the tents are shared. All units are equipped with linen, towels, and tea and coffee facilities. The accommodation is serviced daily.

Alkmaar Farmstay is a paradise for birdwatchers, with nesting white-fronted bee-eaters, resident paradise flycatchers, and long crested eagles regularly spotted. Hiking, bass fishing, kayaking, and a scenic 4x4 route are available. It is also an ideal stopover en route to Mozambique.

The rooms at Alkmaar Farmstay have an en-suite bathroom, a double bed, and a communal kitchen that is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, gas stove, microwave, pots, and pans. Outside, there is a boma with braai facilities.
