Alleman Se Huisie is a self-catering accommodation that can comfortably accommodate up to two guests in a twin room. For those who do not wish to cook, there are several restaurants within easy walking distance. Nieu Bethesda is a village that has preserved its way of life from 130 years ago, with stone water furrows lining the wide, dusty streets and unpolluted night skies due to the absence of streetlights. The air remains fresh and clean.

Nieu Bethesda has a working network of furrows, with water supplied daily from a spring on the plateau above the village. Residents channel water into their gardens using smaller gated funnels. Visitors can hike along the furrows up to the spring or prearrange a hike up Kompasberg or through the Canyon on one of the surrounding farms. The area around Nieu-Bethesda is suitable for both leisurely rides and challenging rides for serious mountain bikers. Early risers can conquer one of the two mountain bike trails in the area.
