The Alte Villa, a historic building constructed in 1909 by Hamburg merchants, stands as a testament to German colonial architecture following its acquisition and careful restoration in 2017. The property features individually decorated rooms, each maintaining its distinct character and charm through thoughtful renovation.

Situated within the Sperrgebiet (restricted Diamond Area), the villa is part of the picturesque harbor town of Luderitz, which is built upon rocky terrain in a small enclave. The town showcases a remarkable collection of German colonial architecture from the diamond rush era, with buildings distinguished by their ornate gables, winding stairwells, verandahs, turrets, and distinctive bay and bow windows, all arranged around a sparkling bay.

The surrounding Luderitz area boasts rich biodiversity, particularly in its aquatic bird population. The shallow lagoon serves as a habitat for substantial numbers of flamingos, cormorants, and seagulls. The bay waters are also home to playful seals and dolphins, which can be observed during sailing excursions.

The property includes the Rotes Zimmer, a luxury suite themed after Kolmanskop's era of opulence, featuring a queen-size bed with bedside amenities and a fully appointed bathroom with both bathtub and shower facilities, accommodating up to two guests.
