Amakaya Backpackers Travellers Accommodation offers private rooms and dormitories with no sharing required. The accommodation provides a no-contact check-in and departure process. Each room is sanitized after a guest's departure and cleaning. It aims to provide a "home away from home" experience.

The accommodation is located within a 300-meter walk from Main Street shops and restaurants, and an 800-meter distance from Central Beach. The upstairs dining area and balcony offer magnificent views of the Tsitsikamma mountain range, the lagoon, and the bay. This area serves as a relaxation spot after a day's activities or for early risers to watch the sunrise. Additionally, an internet station is located in this area.

The main building can be accessed through the lounge and bar area, which is equipped with satellite TV. Wi-Fi internet is available throughout the premises. There is a fully equipped kitchen and braai (BBQ) area for guests to practice their cooking skills. Complimentary tea, coffee, and Wi-Fi are provided in all rooms.

The accommodation offers a no-contact check-in and check-out process with no staff present outside the reception hours of Monday-Friday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. After making full payment on the day of arrival, guests will receive an SMS containing the gate code and room key-box code, allowing them to access their room without the need for check-in at reception. Upon departure, guests simply need to lock the room and leave the key in the key-box.

A vending machine is available in the lounge for snacks and drinks. Both private rooms and dormitories are fitted with TVs. On-site parking is available behind an electric gate, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Two golf courses, Plett Country Club and Goose Valley Country Club, are located within a 5-kilometer radius.

The dormitory mentioned consists of two rooms with an entrance kitchenette/lounge area. The adjacent bedroom sleeps four in single beds. It features an en-suite bathroom, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, and Wi-Fi. The dormitory has its own entrance, but towels are not provided for dorm accommodation.
