Amakhala - Bush Lodge

The Reed Valley Bush Lodge is a new African retreat located on the Amakhala Game Reserve. It features four thatched-roof rooms with tented walls and wooden floors, each overlooking a watering point and offering panoramic views. The rooms are equipped with open-decks, plunge pools, air conditioning, fireplaces, oval baths, and outdoor showers.

The main building houses a comfortable lounge, dining area, pub, and a deck with indoor and outdoor fireplaces. Guests are welcomed and checked in at the Reed Valley Inn before being transported to the Bush Lodge by an experienced ranger in an open game viewer, approximately a 15-minute drive away.

The Bush Lodge aims to provide every guest with a fantastic, friendly, and exciting stay, adhering to the Amakhala Heritage Collection standards. The main lodge offers luxurious dining, a splendid lounge area, and an expansive viewing deck with magnificent views of the game-filled plains. Evenings are spent around the outdoor fireplace, admiring the unspoiled African night sky.

The Bush Lodge offers twice-daily expeditions by open 4x4 safari vehicles. Each Family Luxury Tent features a king-size bed with a bath in the main room, twin beds in the second room with its own toilet, and overlooks a watering point. Children aged 12 and older are welcome at the Bush Lodge.
