The Amazian Mountain River Lodge is a privately owned establishment located in the Southern Drakensberg region, near the uKhahlamba World Heritage site. The lodge offers a serene and tranquil environment surrounded by beautiful scenery and the Umzimkulu river.

Situated ideally for a day trip to the legendary Sani Pass into Lesotho, the lodge also provides opportunities for scenic walks and fly fishing for wild rainbow and brown trout along its 2.5km stretch of pristine river frontage. The area offers various activities, including hiking trails, horse riding, and relaxing massages.

The lodge features full access control, ensuring the safety of its guests. For avid birdwatchers, the area is home to over 300 bird species, including the Black stork, Bald ibis, Bearded and Cape vultures, Black eagle, Jackal buzzard, Black harrier, Orange breasted Rockjumper, Drakensberg siskin, Blue, Crowned and Wattled Cranes, and Denham's bustard.

The day can be concluded with a romantic evening savoring the chef's gourmet creations and complementary wine recommendations. It is advised that the Amazian Mountain River Lodge does not accommodate children under the age of 14. The Sani Pass 4x4 Trail is a must-visit attraction when staying at the lodge. The establishment offers a Deluxe King Bed Room situated 80 meters from the main lodge, featuring a river and mountain view, air conditioning, tea/coffee facilities, a hairdryer, and a bath/shower combination.
