Amber Creek Guest House is situated on a lovely country estate on the banks of the Klip River in Vereeniging. It is located in a farming community, but only a short distance from shopping malls, restaurants, gymnasiums, golf courses, and the Vaal river. The guest house offers tranquil and luxurious facilities, inviting guests to relax and take a stroll along the banks of the river or sit and enjoy the beautiful views of the weeping willows and waterfowl at the water's edge.

All facilities at Amber Creek Guest House are primarily based on self-catering, and all units are en-suite. Rooms are not serviced on weekends, unless special arrangements are made. For privacy, all units have private entrances and do not share any facilities. Each unit is equipped with en-suite facilities, DSTV, a coffee/tea tray or full kitchenette (where applicable), and a bar fridge. Units with kitchenettes feature a microwave, toaster, cutlery, crockery, utensils, a hob, and an outside braai area. Each unit also has an allocated covered parking bay.

Being situated on the river's edge, the property is frequented by breeding pairs of Egyptian Geese, which choose the property to raise their chicks. Guests may also be fortunate enough to spot a resident otter or a family of mongoose roaming the river's edge during the day. At night, rabbit families can be seen, and with patience, porcupines digging for roots and bulbs, as well as jackals hunting for prey. Various bird species frequently visit, including Guinea fowl, Heron, White Faced Duck, Barbet, Redbilled Woodhoopoe, Pied Kingfisher, Burchell's Coucal, Swainson's Francolin, Hadeda, Sacred Ibis, Darter, Egret, Spoonbill, African Black Duck, Yellowbilled Duck, Moorhen, Plover, and Dikkop.

Due to its conservancy status, motorized boating is not allowed on the Klip River. However, the river teams with fish and is ideal for fishing. In the summer, the river frequently breaks its banks, transforming the lower-lying areas into a lake ten times the size of the normal river flow.

The guest house welcomes visitors and offers accommodation options such as a double bed, two single beds, a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchenette, a lounge and dining area, braai facilities, DSTV, and covered parking.
