Amberley Mountain Reserve

Amberley Mountain Reserve is located within 15 minutes of the village of Dullstroom and offers a unique experience of complete privacy and seclusion without being remote. It is a 900-hectare estate with a self-catering lodge that can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests (including children of all ages). The lodge features spectacular views overlooking a valley with four well-stocked trout dams and a variety of plains game.

The open-plan living area includes a spacious lounge with three couches adjacent to an Italian-crafted Brazilian mahogany bar. Next to the open-plan kitchen is a dining area with a beautiful 10-seater mahogany dining table and chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a Bosch double oven and stovetop, and there is a separate scullery section with a dishwasher and walk-in pantry.

Off the kitchen is a separate TV lounge (with a 60 cm screen connected to a full DSTV bouquet) for young children to be accommodated close to parents. A gas-fired braai and a Weber charcoal braai are located on the front veranda, which features a larger custom-made teak table and benches.

There are four double bedrooms downstairs, and two upstairs. Downstairs, the first bedroom has a queen bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath. The second bedroom has twin singles and a shower en-suite. The third and fourth bedrooms each have twin singles and share a large en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower, and double vanities.

Upstairs is the fifth, main bedroom with spectacular views across the property and a separate dressing room adjoining a large en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower, and double vanities. Adjacent to this room is the sixth bedroom with twin singles, ideal for young children, which shares the main bedroom's en-suite bathroom. There is also a guest toilet off the large main hall.

The lodge is fully serviced by housekeeping, and the swimming pool and Amberley Trout dams (well-stocked for exceptional fishing) are available for use by guests.
