Ammazulu African Palace is a guest house and visionary lodge located on the edge of the Kloof Gorge, overlooking the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve. It celebrates the cultural heritage of KwaZulu-Natal. The palace, reflecting on various parts of history, is the vision of Durban artist Peter Amm, who has incorporated his entire collection of Zulu art and crafts into more than 40 beaded columns of exquisite beauty.

The building has been designed by Kevin MacGarry of Architects Collaborative, with assistance from the owner, who has been nurturing the site for some four decades. Visitors to this truly unique destination may experience sensory overload, as there is so much to take in, explore and experience. From the breathtaking view of the gorge to the private Zulu art collection in each of the ten suites, Ammazulu Palace is a place that will capture one's imagination every time they return.

The Deluxe Suites comprise king-size beds and private balconies, as well as separate lounges with Tea & Coffee facilities and bar fridges. They offer extreme views over the kloof valley on the cooler south side. Beverages are stocked on request.
