Amongst The Trees is a three-story open-planned cottage that can accommodate singles, couples, and families with children. Access to the cottage is through a private path. The ground floor features a fully equipped kitchen, two sleeper couches, a dining table for six people, and a fireplace. The upstairs area is double-volumed and includes a lounge, a full bathroom with a separate shower, a dressing area, a TV lounge, and access to an outside patio.

The patio is equipped with full braai facilities. The loft area has a queen-sized bed. The cottage is situated 50 meters away from the Botanical Gardens and 200 meters from the Emmarentia Dam. One of the guests described the cottage as an "Oasis in the middle of Johannesburg".

The cottage is within walking distance of various facilities, including swimming, fishing, sailing, canoeing, walking, cycling, running, a gym, bowls, squash, tennis, archery, rugby, soccer, hockey, baseball, and cricket. The ground floor consists of a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table for six people, a small lounge with a fireplace, and a guest toilet. This area is not rented separately from the loft room and has two sleeper couches.
