The Ancient Days Guest Cottage is located approximately 50 kilometers outside of Johannesburg, situated at the foot of the Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve mountain range. The historic building was originally constructed in 1903 to serve as a stable for six horses, and it also housed the mail carriage. In 1987, the current owner acquired the property, and in 2008, renovations were undertaken to adapt the building's interior for accommodating guests in a quiet and secure environment.

Enclosed by a white picket fence, the cozy cottage features three comfortable bedrooms capable of accommodating up to ten people. The fully equipped kitchen is furnished with a refrigerator, a stove, a microwave oven, crockery and cutlery, as well as ample cooking utensils. Four television sets are installed throughout the premises, and DStv services are available. A daily cleaning service is provided on weekdays.

Heidelberg, where the cottage is located, is in close proximity to the N3 highway, and Johannesburg City Bowl is a mere 45 km away, making it an ideal location for commuting to and from Johannesburg while still offering the hospitality of a typical small town. The cottage comprises three bedrooms: two bedrooms are furnished with queen-size beds and sleeper couches that can be converted into double beds, accompanied by en-suite bathrooms. The second bedroom features two single beds and an en-suite bathroom. An additional sleeper couch is available in the lounge area.
