Angela's Guest Lodge

Angela's Guest Lodge is a self-catering guest house and lodge located in the Gariep Dam Holiday Village. The village was recognized as "South Africa's tourist town of the year" in 2010 and is situated approximately halfway between Cape Town and Johannesburg, just a couple of minutes off the N1 highway, 44 km north of Colesberg.

The guest lodge is well-suited for weary travelers seeking a stopover or guests who wish to spend extra days exploring the Karoo and Gariep Dam area. The quietness, billions of bright stars in the sky, and moving satellites create a truly unique and beautiful atmosphere.

Gariep Dam, appropriately named "Lake Gariep," is South Africa's largest inland lake. It is home to a diverse range of birds and has two surrounding game reserves leading onto the banks of the lake. The village offers a selection of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, bottle stores, and a 24-hour Quest service station with an ATM. Lake Gariep is also a fisherman's dream destination.

At Angela's Guest Lodge, guests can unwind in well-furnished guest house units. The Lodge is divided into three unique units, each with its own Lapa featuring a private stainless steel braai and garden furniture. All units are modern and tastefully decorated with black leather and mahogany furniture. On-site parking for vehicles and trailers is provided, ensuring safety and security away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The Loerie unit is designated as the Honeymoon unit, offering a 10% discount for honeymoon couples. Additionally, there is a safe enclosed plunge pool area with a braai and lapa, referred to as a "pool Kuzzi."
