Each spacious room features a seven-foot wide, draped four-poster bed and a spectacular bathroom with sunken baths and waterfall showers.

Protective headgear is compulsory for all riders.

Guided bush walks allow guests to learn about the local flora, fauna, and resident animals while exploring the bushveld on foot. Alternatively, open 4x4 Landcruiser game drives are available, including night drives to spot nocturnal animals like the rare brown hyena, aardvark, and porcupine.

Ant's Nest provides a family-friendly environment, offering special activities for children and teenagers, as well as toys, games, and safe lawned gardens. Children can participate in activities with their parents or separately, and riding lessons are available for novice riders. The lodge aims to provide an educational and inspirational experience for children, fostering an appreciation for wildlife and the environment.

Additional activities include visiting local sites, lounging by the pool, enjoying massages, browsing books and crafts in the curio shop, attending a historic thatched church on Sundays, and shopping for local arts and crafts in nearby towns. The lodge takes pride in its sumptuous home cooking, served outdoors whenever possible, accompanied by excellent South African estate wines. Dietary requirements can be accommodated.

The lodge offers a two-bedroom suite with a double bed in one room and a double/twin beds in the other, both with en-suite bathrooms featuring showers and baths. The suite includes a veranda, a lounge with a library and fireplace, a bar area with tea and coffee-making facilities, and a dining area.
