Aquila Private Game Reserve

Aquila Private Game Reserve spans 10,000 hectares in the Southern Karoo region, nestled between the Langeberg and Outeniqua Mountains near the historic Touws Rivier town. As the closest private game reserve to Cape Town, it proudly hosts the Big Five - elephants, lions, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos.

The reserve's 4-star Safari Lodge features comprehensive amenities including twin swimming pools with pool bars overlooking the wilderness, expansive dining areas, and intimate cigar bars and lounges. The facility also houses a library, curio shop, and children's entertainment area. Its African spa offers natural treatments across twelve rooms, including a specialized couples' therapy dome, complemented by two heated indoor pools, Jacuzzis, and a steam bath, all enhanced by a tranquil Zen Garden.

Premier Lodge Rooms feature spacious balconies overlooking the reserve, while Mountain View and Standard Lodge Rooms can be combined into Luxury Family Suites with connecting passageways. All cottages come equipped with amenities such as fireplaces for winter comfort, and meals are included with overnight stays.
