Arolela Guest Farm

Arolela Guest Farm is a working farm located in Caledon, Western Province of South Africa. It co-exists with a farming operation that produces wheat, barley, oats, and sheep. The farm's setting is characteristic of the Overberg region, featuring blue crane birds and landscapes that change color from canola yellow to brown and luminous green, depending on the season.

Arolela Guest Farm is situated approximately one hour's drive from Cape Town, 14 km from Botriver, 18 km from Caledon, and 45 km from both Hermanus and Greyton. The founder, MG Lu00f6tter, is the fifth generation of the family to operate this farm. All staff members involved with Arolela Guest Farm live on the premises and are related to the farm workers.

While the accommodation is self-catering, guests can choose the level of catering they require. The kitchen personnel can prepare traditional "boerekos" meals using meat produced on the farm. Additional services such as cleaning, nanny care, and laundry are available upon request. All kitchens are well-equipped, and a high emphasis is placed on hygiene and cleanliness. Only high-quality white or cream bedding is used.

Arolela Guest Farm serves as a base for exploring the surrounding area and coastline while also providing a safe environment where children can play freely and adults can escape from daily life. De Vlei house is a three-bedroom farmhouse with one king bed and cot, one queen bed and one single bed, and twin single beds in the respective bedrooms. The bathroom is fully equipped with a bath, shower, basin, and toilet. There is an additional outdoor shower. The house features a dining room with a table and four chairs, a kitchen with a microwave oven, stove with oven, and a fridge with freezer. Braai facilities (with wood available for purchase on the farm), DStv selected channels, a DVD player, and a bush Jacuzzi are also provided. All linen, bath towels, and cleaning materials are included.
