Arum Place Guest House

Arum Place Guest House is a bed and breakfast establishment that provides accommodation in spacious rooms with wooden floors and steel pressed ceilings. The property, originally built in 1935, is located in a quiet area on the outskirts of the vibrant Melville neighborhood. It offers a tranquil environment while being close enough to explore the abundance of small shops, cafes, curio shops, art galleries, and trendy restaurants in the vicinity, which are just over 1km away.

The guest house consists of four rooms inside the main house and two self-catering units suitable for longer stays. Each room features a private balcony or patio access, and four of the spacious rooms have king-size beds that can be converted into twin beds. All rooms are luxuriously equipped with en-suite bathrooms (with bath and separate shower), built-in cupboards, a tea/coffee tray (including hot chocolate in winter), bar fridge, complimentary soft drinks, fans, heaters, percale cotton bed linen of the finest quality, hair dryer, complimentary toiletries, clock radio, and 16-channel satellite television.

Guests can enjoy a cup of tea or relax with a book from the small library. The property also features a sparkling blue pool set in a lovely garden, inviting visitors to soak up the warm African sun. The entire house is available for guests to enjoy at all times.

Accommodation includes a full Farmhouse breakfast served in the dining room or on the patio, weather permitting. Guests staying in the Golden Slumber suite have the option to enjoy breakfast in their room or in private. Other breakfast options include Eggs Benedict with Parma ham and spinach served on rye bread, savory pancakes with mince, omelets, scrambled eggs on rye bread with salmon and cream cheese, flapjacks, French toast, waffles with honey, toasted croissants with bacon and Parmesan cheese, and more. Dinners and Sunday lunch or barbecue are available upon request.

Arum Place Guest House is a non-smoking establishment, but smoking is permitted outside on the patio. Additional amenities include a 24-hour laundry service, secure parking, and Wi-Fi access to the internet.
